Young Investigators Working Group

The SIOPE BTG Young Investigators (YI) Group brings together enthusiastic early-career professionals committed to advancing paediatric neuro-oncology through multidisciplinary collaboration, scientific innovation, and shared educational opportunities. Our mission is to build a dynamic and inclusive community for young clinicians, researchers, physicists, biologists, data scientists, and all multi-disciplinary professionals involved in the care of children and adolescents with brain tumours. We are dedicated to connecting emerging talent with the broader scientific community; accompanying and empowering the new generation of specialists while supporting the development of research skills, leadership, and international networking.

The YI group actively contributes to SIOPE BTG initiatives by co-organising educational events, including the European Combined Paediatric Neuro-Oncology Course, developing webinars, promoting surveys to identify training needs, connecting members to innovative research projects, and facilitating the involvement of our young members both within BTG working groups and affiliated societies and professional communities. Our goal is to foster the professional growth and development of the next generation, and to ensure we play a meaningful role in shaping the future of research, innovation, and clinical care for children with brain tumours.
